We are delighted to be sponsoring the Women’s mentoring category at next year’s National Mentoring Awards (NMAs). At LawBite we are proud to have over 70% women lawyers working as LawBriefs, our very own fully SRA regulated law company. Our company attracts exceptional female talent due to our commitment to flexible working, which offers the work-life balance that many traditional law firms do not provide. As an official partner, we are proud to get involved with this national initiative to support mentoring.

What are the NMAs?

The NMAs are so important because they are an opportunity to recognise the unacknowledged mentoring work that thousands of people do. It also is a great opportunity to encourage more exceptional talent to get into mentoring and enjoy the benefits that it brings for both mentor and mentee. On 1st March 2019 the awards will provide this recognition for ‘mentoring excellence’. The NMAs are a chance to join in the celebrations to recognise the invaluable contribution that mentoring makes to enterprise, education and society. The aim is to help raise awareness of the benefits of mentoring and thank mentors for the great work they do. At LawBite we are getting involved by sponsoring the National Women’s Mentoring Award, which recognises the achievement of individual women mentors who have made significant progress or helped others overcome notable challenges. This can be in the professional field or in personal development and can be awarded to an individual mentor or to a women’s mentoring programme.

Why nominate someone for the Women’s Mentoring Award?

Who will you nominate? Do you know someone who should be recognised for their excellence and commitment to mentoring? Entering for the NMAs is a wonderful way to reward and recognise achievements of individual mentors and mentees, groups and organisations.
